We bring artisans, trainers, and learners together to build a better future through craft, creativity, and community development.
HandsSkills Entrepreneurship Initiative for Community Development is a not-for-profit, non-political organization based in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to equipping individuals from all walks of life with practical skills that drive self-sufficiency, community progress, and economic development.
Founded with a vision to close the gap between raw potential and real opportunity, we bring together experienced artisans, vocational trainers, and business-minded individuals to mentor and uplift the next generation. Our programs are open to everyone—youths, women, the elderly, and marginalized groups—because we believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive through skill and enterprise.
We foster inclusive development through partnerships with government institutions, private entities, and international organizations to ensure our impact reaches far and wide. From building personal careers to revitalizing entire communities, our work is guided by integrity, dedication, and a passion for transformation.
Whether it’s a young graduate in search of a new path or a community in need of sustainable solutions, HandsSkills stands as a catalyst for change, innovation, and hope.
We design our programs around the unique needs of each community. By engaging local experts and understanding cultural dynamics, we deliver training that is both relevant and effective.
We prioritize the empowerment of women, youth, and disadvantaged individuals. Our programs are tailored to remove barriers, encourage participation, and ensure that no one is left behind in the journey toward self-reliance.
We partner with government agencies, NGOs, private sector stakeholders, and international development bodies. Through joint projects, resource sharing, and policy advocacy, we scale our reach and deepen our impact across Nigeria.
A thriving community where everyone has access to meaningful skills, self-reliance, and economic opportunity.
To bridge the gap between talent and opportunity by training people in craft works like carpentry, tiling, fashion design, web development, and more. We facilitate partnerships and offer inclusive programs for women, youth, and underserved populations.
We are governed by a Board of Trustees and comply with all regulatory requirements under Nigerian law as an incorporated trustee. Our activities are transparent, and our finances are audited annually.
